Doesn't surprise me... However, come April 29th because of GTA's popularity by the press, THE SH!T IS GONNA HIT THE FAN!!!!

Why does this sound like sucking up from a EA CEO?

It sound sucking up cause they want to buy Rockstar (or Activion/Take Two not sure)! That why! This game has a lot hype due to its controverial content. No other game has made its appereance in newspapers and tv news like GTA. There goes the saying:

´´There is no such thing as bad publicity.``

This games proves it! Although, I for one will not buy this on day one. I´ll wait a few weeks. I wanna know more about its multiplayer before I actually buy it. This game is so hyped that any ´´negative`` comment made towards it is always flamed but GTA gameplay on foot is terrible! Aiming was always a little awkward. In campaign mode it might get away but online I think it would be frustating.

But its just my opinion.

This guy obviously hasn't heard of MGS4. Sorry, but if there's a game that blurs the line between movies and games, that's MGS, not GTA.

You´re right but this is EA we are talking about! The MULTIPLATFORM kings. They want big bucks and little hardwork. Crappy ports and games that use the same engine over and over again with little to none improvement.

And I agree with you! MGS4 will be the ****! It will tighten the gap between Hollywood and Games.

EA want's to buy Rockstar and assumes the deal is already for sure. Hopefully Rockstar will diss EA. Then they'll look stupid, and they'll probably release a statement announcing that 'GTA IV ain't really that great after all'.

I must say I never take EA games seriously anymore, and the Half Life port was dissapionting.

Shut the F up Riccitiello! If you get your dirty hands on Take 2/Rockstar, the gaming world is going to change for the worse. EA is run by a bunch of dirtballs, they buy their competition since they can't compete. 2k Sports will be no more!

OK, first off...EA aren't trying to Buy Roackstar...they're trying to buy TAKE TWO...the people who publish the GTA games and...who own the license...if Take Two wanted to they could easily have a differnt dev make the GTA games...however Rockstar hit upon the perfoect formula and to their credit, TAKE TWO have stuck by them.  If EA own Take Two, they dictate how the future of GTA goes...something no one wants...we need rockstar to have all the time they need to put random little easter eggs and things (anyone remember the vice city easter egg?) rather than churning out GTA: Underground, GTA: Riot Time or GTA and the Philosophers Stone year after year after year after year...

I personally hope and pray the Take Two has the financial backing of it's board memebers to keep this game alive and fight the wolves from the door...we need independant publishers like take two...they're the people that keep the conglomerates like EA or Blizzard/Activision and the first party publishers (Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo) aware that they can't just hope for the best and that people will buy the products due to the hype...

Maan they are trying to get Rockstar, they probably think they will and are backing it up.

If  EA buys take two, the next GTA will stink.

Interesting point, should be a great game. But games such as Halo 3, COD4 not to mention what we've not been privvy to yet. Still, come 29th I'm on GTA4 for sure!

even though i will be getting this on day one i think that MGS4 will be more of the most celabrated game in this generation of consoles then GTA4

GTA4 and MGS4 just seem more epic and more next-gen compared to last years hits (Halo3, COD4, Bioshock)

EA take notes.... this is called inovation. Rockstar really doesnt have much competition in this genre, yet they still strive to make the best product possible. They dont just rest on their laurels and continually screww their fans. DONT LET EA TAKE OVER TAKE 2!
