Rockstar has pretty much confirmed that there is likely to never be a demo of Grand Theft Auto IV to hit the PlayStation Network. According to a Rockstar representative, they feel that a demo wouldn't be worth the time and effort and that they'd much rather put their time into delivering a beautiful game. We can only thank them for that much, though a demo would be great, we'd much rather have a nicely polished title to enjoy fully at the end of April.
"I'm sure there won't be. If there was we would have talked about it. With a game like this the guys at Rockstar North will want to spend every minute making the game look great. Most people know the concept of GTA anyway. I don't know that the demo is worth the time and effort."
He also added in the following, "Also much of GTA 4 is the driving around and we wouldn't be able to give out the whole city. We would have to give away half the game for free. People would think Liberty City is a tiny city. You run into problems."
So don't get your hopes up in waiting for this to show up on a Thursday. You'll just have to enjoy waiting like the rest of us. We'll let you know if this changes or anything else is confirmed for the highly anticipated title.

why would anyone need a demo? i didn't even need a demo for gta1 my brother played it at his friends house and he told me how good it was so I got it and he was right :D
this game is gonna be awesome, i think a demo is completely unjustified. people who aren't gonna get this game, never will. its like marmite, you either love it or hate it

Screw a demo. I don't want any spoilers till Apr. 29!!! Though It would be kinda nice...Saints Row was able to do a demo on 360 back in my RRoD days!
Well,all i gotta say is this is well worth the wait,that's for sure.
I will buy this game, but i wont pre-order like i did with GTA VC,GTA SA, GTA LCS or GTA VCS.
