I played trough Crysis on a pretty good pc, and I had a really good time. Good game, awesome graphics , if it comes to ps3 I'll buy it

My computer not being powerhouse, I never gave Crysis a try. So I might be a bit blind when asking: will people care about it in console this late? Yes, it will have the expansion pack as well but that too on a much delayed release compared to PC. It's a great game from what I've heard, I just hope they add more content to the console version to keep it attractive.

Do you think that there will be some sort od downgraded graphic for the consoles???

I dunno if the game will look as spectacular on the consoles (especailly the 360 :P) as teh PC simply due to limitations. The graphical and system ram in both machines is only 512mb total where as a suitable PC running Crysis is packed with 3-4gb (that'd be 3000-4000mb) just in system ram, with massive dedicated video cards starting at 512mb and no doubt hitting strides like SLI'd (using 2 vid cards to render) 640mb cards or higher.

I'm kinda irked that the PS3 version will be out after the 360 version but am happy they're dedicated to doing a good job instead of rushing it.

This is a PC game, and it should be left there. To make it playable on consoles its going to have to be dummed down. It's a great game though, and I suggest anyone who hasn't played it give it a go(on PC of course).

@hush404... i'm pretty sure the console version will look mostly the same as pc (except for resolution and framerate, i bet it'll be limited to 720p@30fps) Yes, crytek said before about ps3 and 360 couldn't run their game with the same quality, but that's nothing more than the PR. The consoles has always been using their hardware far more effective than pc

they should release the 360 game when the ps3 is ready. and I'm sure this game on the ps3 will be the best looking ever. anyway... I played crysis 800x600 on all details turned to low at an average of 30 fps and I think it's the best game ever so I'll be happy with anything. BTW warhead will be out september 16

I'd rather have the game to come out later and being superior to the 360-version in every aspect than a crappy port - think about it

I'm not trying to say this game is bad or anything. I know its a great game. But will we really be buying this game, which is probably 2 years old, eventhough we will have Resistance 2? And Killzone 2 and M.A.G. are right there also??

Yo I never got the hype saying how this game had the best graphics, I mean they're great and all but... I don't know maybe it's just me. But I;m really looking forward to it if it's coming to the ps3

 

Don't turn your nose up at the chance to have even more great games on everyone's favorite console. I for one would give this game a go if it came to PS3.

consoles don't have to use 1gb ram to other stuff runnning on the background. windows, firewalls, viruscanners, other weird stuff that you don't need.
Also the original crysis engine was badly made. Needing more power from the pc than it should need.

I think that they can make it look almost like the pc version. Not quite but almost.

Im guessing if this game comes to PS3 it will look similar to far cry 2 graphically. I think we would be kidding ourselves if we think it is going to look as good as it does on pc with all very high settings though but at the same time I don't think they will have to dumb it down as much as people think. I mean look at MGS4. Sure it doesn't look quite as good as Crysis on max settings but it isn't too darn far off.

dont see why it cant look the same on the ps3 but how can it fit on the xbox without lowering quality,hope the ps3 version is not made to be identical to the xbox version.

Because the rumour also involved Crysis going on the 360 the rumour will never be true, simply because I think the 360 Crysis couldn't get to the menu without crashing. I don't think the 360 has any chance of powering Crysis (even if they toned down the graphics a bit) so why would the PS3 part be true. Also if Crysis were coming to the consoles they would have announced it by now given the rumoured release dates so this RUMOUR IS FALSE!!

Hopefully this rumor is true. Lets remember Left for dead, Dead Rising, MassEffect Trilogy, Two Worlds, Two Worlds Temptation, KOTOR III, Star Ocean 4,  and one more forget though. Sure none of them have been knocked down comeing to PS3 but ill be danged if their not takeing their sweet time letting us now.

Awesome, Always wanted to play it but never could, now i'll get the chance, i dont care if it takes longer aslong as its atleast on par or better than the 360 version.

crysis is almost 7 Gb without warhead... so I bet it can't fit on a single dvd for the 360

Damn, this would make my day - my PC can barely run Crysis, but it was an awsome game. Day one purchase if Crysis comes to PS3.

how does this game look on pc compared to MGS4 on PS3?

its a great game i played it on my pc as well, i mean if they utilize the cell man it could be amazing because my pc only has a 3ghz pentium dual core and a 256mb 8600gt and i can play on medium high settings with a steady frame rate

cmon, this game wasnt even that good! "we let you have some cool abilities and then limit them to 3 second burst whilst  making it near impossible for you to shoot anyone..." should be labeled on the front cover! gameplay over graphics.

while a port would Suck having 360's coming out first it would also suck having ps3 version wait. I say SAME RELEASE date please.

I'm sick of this rumor, Crytek have already confirmed Warhead as a pc exclusive, will everyone just give it up.  The games not coming to consoles simple as that.

This is old news, there was already mentioned that Crysis would come to the PS3 and if I'm right they had also stated that the 360 can't handle it which made me smile at the time, but no matter as long as it comes on the PS3 I'll definately get it along with Killzone2, Far Cry2, Resistance2 and the best out there... Next year is gonna get better n better!!!!!!

It was also always "confirmed" that Bioshock would never make its way onto PS3 - and now the game is actually coming out for PS3 so I would not trust Confirmations

I played the game at my cousin's house who has a pretty sick set-up and i still wasn't impressed.  Graphics are awesome but the gameplay is...

anyone that thinks crysis will look the same on consoles as it looks on the pc is lying to himself

not even actual pc hardware can run it smooth at max settings why would a console with probably 4-5 years old harware will

 it will be an xbox 360 exclusive considering its already a windows exclusive

This will be interesting . I'm excited to see both versions maxed out for each console .
