War torn streets in SOCOM: ConfrontationLionsgate Home Entertainment has revealed that the latest instalment in the highly successful Saw franchise, Saw IV, will be released on Sony Blu-ray from January 22, 2008.
Full specifications and assorted content have yet to be revealed, though it has been confirmed the film will be released as an un-rated Director’s Cut. Furthermore, it will hit shops on the same day as its DVD counterpart.
For those unfamiliar with the plot of the film, look no further than this handy synopsis from Lionsgate:
"Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grisly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences."

Hmm... never seen any SAW movies, and as of what i've heard, there's not really a plot. Just a craz,y guy who tortu,res some unlucky guys in a lot of bl,oody ways and end up killi,ng himself... = Great succes :P
I love the saw movies. I will be getting this to add to my collection of blu-ray movies
The first saw was really good, second good, then i started to lose interest. At first it was a new idea, fresh. Sort of like the movie "Seven", how it deals with people's sins, but actually shows the victims alive first, struggling in a trap that expose's their sin to the extreme. So it was cool at first, then its like "How many times can you see someone cut out their own eye, or get their face crushed by a metal helmet"

Saw IV was a very very good movie.. it had great dialouge and it was hard to predict.
1080P Blood gusher. Saw IV should be a pleaser on Blu-Ray.
