In the latest Soul Calibur IV trailer entitled "Ubidays 2008: Transcendance Trailer," several new details were revealed that many viewers probably missed. After analyzing the trailer intently, here are a few of the snippets we happened to catch.
New Character:
Near the middle of the trailer a new character is revealed. We've heard whispers that he is a new character either known as Mars (aka Hades) or possibly Soul Edge reborn (notice the scar on his arm), but that he may receive a name change before the game is shipped. We've placed a screenshot of him below:
Destructible armor and clothing:
During the trailer, clips are shown of characters having their armor shattered or clothing hewn. With quite a few female characters already scantily clad prior to battles, this new element makes us wonder just how far Namco will take it.

Wonder how far they will take it? With an assumption of a T rating, I'd guess not too far. Also the new character looks FUGLY. I'd go as far as to say thats Nightmares younger emo brother, Daydream.
this does make me wonder how far namco will take the clothes falling off, tho i wouldnt mind seeing some seong mina unclothed XD

The new character and feature seems pretty cool. I just hope we don't see a bunch of perverted SC IV videos showing up when the game hits.

Agreed. Seems like fighting games are releasing more and more female characters. I mean c'mon do we really need more female characters? I think both Rumble Roses games gave us all the female characters we'll ever need in any game.
psn id: gingo... destructable armour and clothing is cool but apart from that what really have they added to this version, the star wars characters are going to be a waste if they dont implement them properly and nothing else so far as made this a stand out for the best fighting game

LMAO Daydream, I love it! I doubt namco will take it any further than a bikinni looking equlivant for any given character... tho Ivy's already there... so I dunno what they're gonna do with her.
