Harmonix boss Alex Rigopulos has pledged that the company will make available individual controllers for its forthcoming Rock Band title as soon as possible.
During an interview with Next-Gen.biz, Rigopulous stated, "The highest priority is to make sure that as many people as possible can have the multi-instrument band experience this holiday.”
"We are working diligently to get individual instruments into the channel as soon as humanly possible and we have a huge effort in place to make this happen."
While he was unable to go into further detail, Rigopulous hoped to at least stave off any concern from gamers that they would have to wait for a considerably longer period of time to get their hands on individual peripherals.
"Also, note that standalone software will be available at launch," he added. "Harmonix supports open platform standards in our game design, so people will most likely be able to use their existing peripherals with Rock Band. Furthermore, we know that many, many friends are planning to purchase a Rock Band bundle together, along with extra copies of the software, and then share the individual instruments among them."
Rock Band is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this November as a bundle package costing USD 169, with a PlayStation 2 version retailing for USD 159.
We’ll have more on the game soon, so check back for further coverage.

They should just include it in the package.
psn id: gingo... separate instruments would be good but i tihnk they made a wise choice by making it a bundle for christmas it makes tihngs so much simpler
I just don't get why they only included 1 guitar!? Well, then i hope we can use earlier Guitar Hero hardware since i've heard both yes and no different places.
I wasn't worried in the first place. It was quite obvious from the beginning they would have to market individual instruments. It's just too bad they can't get them out for the holiday season.
