Treyarch made some sweet Spidey games for the last generation of consoles, but their current generation wares have disappointed. From the lackluster Spider-Man 3 to the childish Friend or Foe, Spider-Man games have dropped the ball as of late. Today, the debut trailer for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows appeared out of nowhere and has us completely captivated. Check it out right here:
Visually, it looks far superior to both recent Spidey titles. It also seems to have an intriguing plot, depicting a dilapidated, overrun Manhattan. What do you think? Will this be a standout game or just another disappointment? Leave your comments below.

Game looks odd but intriguing.
I took a look at a site yesterday (that I cant find again for some reason) which was all about the game. Various characters like Kingpin and such will make an appearance and depending on your actions you will get various allies. You can also choose whether you wanna be a goodie too-shoes or treat the citizens of the city in a not-so-fun way which in turn affects how the people percieve you. There was a lot of other stuff but I cant remember right now. Regardless, this may be the first Spidey game I'll actually buy

i dunno , i belived the hype of spider man 3 and look what happend
looks like it has some potential. i'm glad they finally decided to make a serious Spiderman game, because the other ones are just a joke.
ill wait till the reviews on this one... treyarch dissapointed me with cod3 so im not so sure about their games...
...and I think that's a strong hint that there's something to do with Venom, which if done correctly, could be amazing!

I didn't get Spiderman 3 because I knew it was going to be poor. I think I'm going to get this one because the story is new and interesting. Also many villians and super heros from Marvel play a role in it. You can also choose to help or go against them. I like games where you get to make choices it adds depth to it.
