Stomping in my...PlayStation AirForce 1s?

Posted on November 21st, 2007 at 12:01 EDT

For over 25 years, the Nike AirForce 1 has been a staple shoe for the company. Released in three different styles: low, high, and medium rise, the Air Force 1 is probably the most recognized basketball shoe, second only to the Converse Chuck Taylors.

In conjunction with this, Sony took noticed of the shoe and decided to give a few PlayStation branded pairs away to Sony executives as well as a select number of celebrities. The shoe is rare by all means, as it was never released to the public, at least until now – that is, if you are willing to part for a blistering USD1000, you may acquire a pair of these for your own pleasure.

So what is it worth to you? How much of a PlayStation fan are you to go as far as to paying USD 1000+ for a pair of sneakers? This may also be the perfect holiday gift for that special someone, who knows.

I don't care how it looks...It has the godly Playstation logo on it!

I would buy it in a heartbeat, if it didn't cost a surprising 1k.

mhm, I'll simply print a Playstation Logo, cut it out and then stick it onto my sneakers. Saved lot of money and contributed to stop exploiting children in China making these shoes ~.~

If you really find them in a store you can get for no higher than 200 no1 really sell these 4 a grand.  AF1s dont go 4 grand never.

That is stupid, $1000? comon...

You know what would be smart, take the shoe, release it to the public, and price it at the same amount as regular AF1s. Then, when people buy them and wear them, Sony gets a whole bunch of free PlayStation advertising.

WallyWorld shoes for me - $14.88 on sale from $19.99. I don't care how I look, as long as I have enough left over for something that I'd really want (music, movies, & GAMES), instead of spending more for unnecessary clothing. And given that, as long as my wife & children get what they want and/or need, I don't care if I walk around in tissue boxes and a burlap sack. Family - FTW!!!

US$1000 can get you a lot of PS3 games!!! I'd rather do that. If I got one for free, I'd sell it on ebay and spend the dough on games!!! (o^o)

I remember when Sony started the hype train before the launch of ps3 by having a pair of exclusive nike shoes with the release date on it.It was put up for auction on some site i believe, don't know for how much it was bought.
