Killzone 2 only using 60% of SPU's overall power?
New Killzone 2 footage: Ambush, Boss Fight, and moreUbisoft has announced development of a new iteration in the critically acclaimed Tom Clancy series, due out on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2008.
Developed by the company’s studio in Bucharest, Romania, the untitled project will take the form of an aerial combat title, offering beginner players “hi-tech piloting assistance", allowing users to home their skills until they become a more capable pilot. The assistance training can then be dropped as the player sees fit.
"We are confident that this new brand will become the new benchmark for flight combat games and will be, like other Tom Clancy-based games, an instant online multiplayer hit," commented Sebastian Delen, Managing Director of Ubisoft’s Bucharest studio.
"The player will experience all the action and excitement of modern air combat, from intense dog fighting to tactical strikes."
Details surrounding the games plot are scare, though the basic outline appears to involve players defending US airspace following an attack by an unnamed private military force some time in the near future.
Stay tuned for more information on the game as soon as it breaks.

I wonder if this will be more like warhawk or more like a true flight sim......it will be intersting to see what they can cook up cause to be honest, this doesn't sound like "WOW!...off the bat to me
psn id: gingo.... so this is ubisofts version of ace combat..... i tihnk i'll pass
Isn't Ubisoft also working on some User-Content game a la LittleBigPlanet? Why all of a sudden start working on games based around Sony's first party titles?
Anyways, I'll keep my eyes on it to see how it turns out cause it does sound interesting.
wow Romania? that is my country right there. Didn't think they make games there haha. Anywho it does seem like Ubisoft really is trying to push their way into genres that have been successful.
i dont want assistance, im already a good pilot-anyways ill either critiq them for trying ace combat or warhawk what u think there going for?
god, i wish ubi would for once stay away from the Tom Clancy series.
Why not try a Andy McNab franchise. Much better stories than Clancy's
