With a lot of games losing their appeal after a period of time, it was great to hear that Unreal Tournament III would allow its users to create mods for the PlayStation 3 version of the game. This was obviously a smart decision by Epic Games and delighted fans of the series immensely. One of the biggest factors regarding this however was the dedication and contribution of the user-created content and how often it would be churning itself out. As of today, over 50 UT3 mods have been released for download on the PS3.
The rate at which these mods are hitting the servers is more than consistent. This has been a key feature to the success of the Unreal Tournament franchise in the past and it’s good to see it continue into the console world of things. With more and more content being created each and every day, it is definitely adding replay value to a marquee title on the PlayStation 3 console.
With intuitive new maps like Flatwars, where a modder recreated his living room as a playable level, you can only imagine what type of creativity and uniqueness the community will bring to the table in the coming months. The game offers unlimited downloadable content through this service and that is something we’d like to see added to all multiplayer titles.

Developers should take note. The next gen consoles with mods rule. Mods on a game and they'll get higher sales for higher replay value.

yeah when will the ps3 version be realesed in europe? the pc version has been out for a while, my cousin has it, but wheres the ps3 version!?!

H3ll yeah, I love that feature. I've got actioncams (ala gears of war), better hover boards and kewler maps with just a click on my PC and a transfer of goods to my PS3. :D
This game is so much fun due to the mods without them i don't think it would be so much but still fun anyhow im thinking of getting this game and not get call of duty 4 even tho many say that cod4 is better i go for mods and the stuff you can do in this game is much more then just going around killing people this game is more like warhawk but with smaller maps and a copy of gears of war but with colours :) lol i tested this game at my friends house was really good so i think i will get this one ^_^ the 3rd person view mode rocks aswell :)
I rented this game and hated it, returned it before it was even due.
LOL I totally forgot about these mods since I was just playing again yesterday. Nice deathmatch has 40 wow.
not every dev. makes fps and other then that they would have to program a program for people so they can mod easy. and that takes lots of time, i would rather have them making extra maps but ut3 is fps for online and online only so new maps all the time is must
i want to see the ability to dowload mods in Resistance 2.

I can't wait for this game to come out in AUS, gonna get it along side HAZE, love my FPS
