Sega of Japan is planning on releasing a demo of the PlayStation 3 title Yakuza 3 through the Japanese PlayStation Store later this month, according to reports from website Gamefront.
It is currently unknown whether or not western gamers can expect the same treatment at a later date, though it certainly seems a possibility given the fact the game won’t be out in Europe or North America for some time. The Japanese version, however, is scheduled to hit stores on March 6.
Yakuza 3 is a PS3-exclusive and third iteration in the critically acclaimed adventure series from Sega, and takes the form of a prequel set in the year 1605, based on the developers own hopes of rekindling the samurai spirit of Japanese history.
Stay tuned for more information as it breaks.

I'm not interested in a Japanese Sword fighting game..
@joe1690 - Big jock knows nothing you twit...
Can't say i'm overly excited about this, always preferred Kengo to yakuza...having said that, the recent Kengo Zero on the 360 was absolute crap...couldn't believe it...
psn id: gingo.... @JD-82 - big jock knew everything m8
i would like a demo to come to europe to see if this is any good or not because its not a game i would buy without trying it first
@gingo - If "Big Jock" knew everything then tell me why he never told us about any of it until after it happens? sounds a bit like bull to me...in fact sounds like some stupid slogan some 12 year old from Glasgow would come up with to use on forum boards to try and sound cool.
@Clarky_PSU
You make it seem like its some sort of bushido blade. The original yakuza had fun fighting sequences that had sword, guns and hand to hand combat but the main draw of the game was its story and exploration. To me yakuza took sandbox type games and showed them to have more purpose. Similar to steambot chronicles and radiata stories, you actually felt that you made an impact on your environment and the people around you.
I think to reducing the game to a simple description such as yours shows that you might not know anything about the series. Your loss though.
sounds interesting, what about the other countries??
The people who lives in Japan is lucky. Because of the games that they have at the Japanese PlayStation 3 Store. Sony US is dam and stupid. I saw it by myself, its something amazing how the Japanese PlayStation 3 Store has games and many great demos.
Never played the other versions and wil not play this one either.
They should release Yakuza 2 for the PS2 first!
@ Big Jock, you did NOT know!
@JD-82, big jock knew everything, please tell me why he didnt go to the police???
if big jock didnt know, please tell me his reasons for kicking jim torbett out....quite literally????
